    Columbia has a successful fencing program, as they have won 15 NCAA national championships. The men's and women's soccer programs have also been successful, as 18 Lions have been honored as All-Americans. Amr Aly was honored as the winner of the 1984 Hermann Trophy.

    The Lions have won multiple NCAA Swimming championships. The Men's track and field team has won 3 NCAA Division 1 Championships. Squash player Osama Khalifa is currently the number 1 ranked US college squash player. Khalifa is the first ever Columbia player to win the National Championship. Khalifa was also recently honored by being announced as the recipient of the William V. Campbell Performer of The Year Award, which is given to Columbia's top athletic performer during the school year.
